In Pankow & Prenzlauer Berg you can find a lot of idyllic and extended green areas as well as places for night life, attractive residential areas, famous cultural centres and booming business locations.
Today Pankow and Prenzlauer Berg, which represent the most populated district of Berlin with 350.000 residents, is set up of the districts Pankow, Prenzlauer Berg and Weißensee. The population still increases around Helmholztplatz, Kollwitzplatz and Bötzowviertel. Since the 90's old buildings have been redeveloped and still get renovated so that this area is one of the biggest obtained Wilhelminian style areas with more than 300 listed buildings with extraordinary furnished accommodations.

Especially the area of Prenzlauer Berg, close to city centre, has turned into a place to be and is well-known for its night life and variety of bars, pubs, cafés, restaurants and clubs. In November 1989 Berlin Wall opened the first time at border crossing Bornholmer Straße.
There are many shopping possibilities like modern malls, several markets and cosy stores. The Eco-market at Kollwitzplatz is well-known and Berlin´s oldest weekly market takes place at Pankower Anger. The oldest beer garden is also located in this district at Kastanienallee as well as the most modern hospital of Berlin in Berlin-Buch.
Various cinemas, schools, kinder garden and a good public transport system are also parts of a perfect infrastructure in Pankow.
